CALABASH COUNTDOWN: Flashback '09, Flashback '09!

REMEMBER THE TIME: From Anthony Winkler’s side-splitting “pum pum” short story and Marlon James’ 'colourful' excerpt from The Book of Night Women to Edward Seaga’s memorable autobiography passages and Staceyann Chin’s reading from her utterly candid memoir The Other Side of Paradise, Calabash 2009 was an unforgettable affair filled with highlights. Here, TALLAWAH invites you to reminisce on last year as you prep for this weekend, which will be another time to remember.

Haitian-American author Edwidge Danticat enjoyed the fellowship with her partner and daughter.

Fearless ladies Staceyann Chin (right) and Carolyn Cooper share lens time.

Last year this pic almost got me in trouble after I incorrectly identified UWI’s Annie Paul as the wife of author Anthony Winkler. But you gotta admit, they are quite the pair in this photo.
