STAR EXPERT?: SHAGGY weighs in on the Miss USA pole-dancing controversy

NUH BEHAVIOUR: Shaggy puts on a show at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival recently.

When did Jamaican superstar-entertainer and philanthropist Shaggy begin moonlighting as a commentator on happenings in international pop culture? As the controversy surrounding pole-dancing photos of the newly-crowned Miss USA, Rima Fakih, rages on, renowned celeb news site TMZ has recruited Shaggy, the celeb expert, to weigh in on the controversial issue. In his signature sanguine manner, Shaggy gave his reaction.

Here’s the full clip of the brief street-side interview:

What a pro. He knows just what to say, doesn’t he?

Shaggy is, meanwhile, busying himself prepping for upcoming engagements across the globe. Earlier this month, the diamond-selling dancehall artiste reportedly gave a sensational performance elsewhere in the region at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival. With a packed summer schedule ahead, he will bring his trademark high-energy stagecraft to concerts in Italy, Canada, US (Brooklyn) and Belgium, before returning home for Reggae Sumfest.

Sidebar: The Shaggy Foundation recently copped the Community Service Award at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) in New York. Truly deserving.
