ON THE SCENE: ALAINE and friends launch new video for singer’s “You Are Me”

GOOD VIBRATIONS: With a good number of fellow entertainers, family and well-wishers who turned up at Kingston’s Fiction night club on Friday, reggae-soul songbird Alaine officially unveiled the music video for her mesmerizing new single “You Are Me,” a warm, touching ballad about being our brother’s keeper. With its breezy sea-side setting, soothing tone and live instrumentation on the beach, the clip went over well with those who came out to lend support for their talented homegirl. Check out some of the highlights from the launch, then peep the finished product below.

Alaine and crooner Noddy Virtue shared lens time. (Sidebar: Noddy, where have you been hiding?)

Wayne Marshall (looking ready for sleep) and deejay Assassin were there. (I think I also spotted Tami and Tessanne and the Voicemail members)

The lady of the moment basked in the spotlight.

The beautiful Empress put Alaine through a questionnaire.

Rising reggae sensation Natel (centre) and artiste-turned-producer Leftside kicked it with Sanjay of Intense.
