DAPPER DUDE: Singer-songwriter Cezar (where you been, bro?) also came out to support the video launch. While I have not heard any new music from Cezar in a minute, he has been busy penning tracks for others, including Deru’s “Nuh Weh Nuh Betta,” which is a top ten finalist in the 2010 Jamaica Popular Song Competition, and is featured on the JCDC-executive-produced album True Jamaican Patriot.
COUPLE SIGHTING: It was great to spot the radiant, newly engaged pair of Michael Cuffe Jr. and Tessanne Chin. Forever young is clearly their mantra these days. You can’t miss that incredible glow. Could it be love? I’m keeping a very close eye on these two.
NATURAL MYSTIC: Of-the-moment reggae singer-songwriter Protojé kicked it with Marlon of HYPE TV. Protojé is gearing up for his debut appearance at Reggae Sumfest next weekend.
FRESH-FACED BEAUTIES: Dancehall bombshells Ce’Cile (left) and Natalie Storm were also in the house. Ce’Cile and I were among the early birds, so we chit-chatted about her career, which, I am happy to report, is set to include a possible perfume deal! Watch this space for more. Meantime, in true Ce’Cile style, her latest tongue-in-cheek hit “Coffee” is causing quite a stir on radio. Love it.
HANGIN’ WITH THE STARS: Wayne Marshall (right) and Mavado showed some
groupie love to a cute female fan, who just had to get a photo-op with the entertainers at the video launch. Fun times, I’m sure.
