PM BRUCE GOLDING plans for Jamaica's 50th Independence, opens new $100M MRI Unit at KPH

FUTURE PLANNING: Prime Minister Bruce Golding and Culture minister Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange get down to discussing plans for the observation of Jamaica’s 50th Independence celebration in 2012. Representatives of the planning committee, headed by Minister Grange, met on Wed. January 19 at Jamaica House to discuss the plans for the celebrations of the special anniversary. The committee is spearheaded by Minister Grange and comprises several persons in the entertainment and culture industry.

JOB WELL DONE: Chairman of the South East Regional Health Authority, Lyttleton “Tanny” Shirley is congratulated by Prime Minister Bruce Golding at the ceremony to officially open the MRI Unit at the Kingston Public Hospital on Thursday, January 20. The $100 million investment will also be available to patients of private practitioners.

Golding noted that people providing care is the most important factor for hospital care.
