VIDEO INTERVIEW: Damian Marley and Nas speak on upcoming solo albums and super-busy touring schedule

Not that anyone's complaining about the cheddar that's been rolling in from their mega-successful Distant Relatives partnership, but Nas and Damian Marley are itching to drop new solo records. The duo, who've been on the road since last summer, told popular UK radio show host Tim Westwood earlier this week that the constant requests for them to add more dates to their long-running world tour has forced them to delay work on the individual forthcoming projects they are "dying" to complete and release.

But enough with the setbacks already; according to Nas (dubbed one of the 10 Greatest MCs of all time by MTV), "it's solo time." The rap star is hoping to release his 10th studio album (as yet untitled) sometime later this year, while Marley says he's yet to dive fully into crafting a follow-up release to the critically acclaimed Welcome To Jamrock, which won him two Grammy Awards in 2005. For me, Marley's next solo album can't come soon enough.
