OUT & ABOUT: PM Bruce Golding meets new World Bank rep + Usain Bolt hits the golf course in Europe

BANKING ON CHANGE: Prime Minister Bruce Golding (right) welcomes the new World Bank Representative in Jamaica, Mr. Giorgio Valentini at a courtesy call paid on him at Jamaica House on Wednesday, June 1. Mr Valentini, who is visiting Jamaica for the first time, said that despite the country’s challenges over the years, he believes the Jamaican economy is now coming back online with the support of the International Monetary Fund. Mr. Golding said he is appreciative of the support of the World Bank, particularly through the challenging transformation strategies his government has been pursuing and looks forward to the continued cooperation.

PAR FOR THE COURSE: The World's Fastest Man was in the Czech Republic earlier this week on different business, but a few hours on the golf course must have proved too irresistible to pass up, as the Jamaican sprinter was spotted out on the green testing his Tiger Woods swing and snapping pics with members of the Czech golfing community.
