IN TOP FLIGHT: Konshens tour creates major buzz in Europe.
With his SubKonshus band in tow, ace dancehall deejay Konshens recently kicked off a six-week tour of Europe at the ReggaeJam in Bersenbruck, Germany, performing a slew of his career hits for the massive crowd. According to word from the artiste’s camp, “Konshens blazed the stage with his hits and was overwhelmingly received by the tens of thousands of fans. The audience sang along as he performed hits like "Good Girls Gone Bad," "So High," "Linky," and “Gal Dem ah Talk.” There was even overwhelming requests for "Buss a Blank." But as time ran short he was unable to oblige them. Konshens then left the stage as the crowd begged for more.”
The deejay’s cross-continent road trip journey continued to Massala, a small Italian town near Sicily. Konshens has become a household name in Italy and his tour will also take him to Lecce, Rome, Catanzaro and Bari.
Meanwhile, Konshens gave his first performance in Portugal at Sudoeste Festival on August 7, sharing billing alongside Snoop Dog, Inner Circle, Richie Spice and Kanye West, among other internationally known headliners, and gave another dynamic performance. “Konshens was a sure winner with the Portuguese ladies who had no problem expressing their admiration and love for the artiste with their overwhelming screams,” TALLAWAH learned.
Konshens, who next heads to Dusseldorf (Germany), will be on tour in Europe until September 14, and will be making appearances in Israel, Austria, Switzerland, Finland and Spain. His first solo studio album, Mental Maintenance, drops later this year.
