ON THE SCENE: Cindy Breakespeare + Cherine + Dr. Peter Phillipps + Paula-Ann Porter-Jones + Constance White

BASIC INSTINCT: Feb. 8, Los Angeles. Jamaican-born Editor-of-Chief of Essence Magazine, Constance White, brought her heightened chic-meets-classic fashion sense to the black carpet at the 2012 Essence Black Women in Music luncheon at the Belasco Theatre in LA. Sylvia Rhone and Kelly Rowland were the honorees at this year's star-studded event.

MONEY MATTERS: Feb. 8, Kingston. Last Wednesday, Finance minister, Dr. Peter Phillips (centre), gave an update on matters related to the economy at a Jamaica House press briefing. COLORED GIRLS: Feb 9, Kingston. In the hustle and bustle of the city, songstress Cherine was sunshine-bright as she co-hosted the latest episode of TV's FiWi Choice Top Ten, alongside Amita, the music show's regular host.
