“Si Mi Yah”
Love Bug Riddim
Attention, ladies! Natel is in stud mode. Steeped in bravado and daring lyricism, “Si Mi Yah” (off Washroom’s Love Bug Riddim) finds the ascendant singer giving props to his sexual prowess and virility – accented by his preference to let his work do the talking. “Mi nuh like fi talk; mi prefer show you,” he forcefully offers, with the confidence to match. Call him naughty Natel. B+

“You Got the Thing”
Though he’s known for more soulfully introspective fare like “Missing You” and “Always On My Mind,” veteran entertainer Da’Ville flips the script with “You Got the Thing” (off the Overproof Riddim), a salute to the “talented” chicks whose talents extend to keep their men sexually satisfied. Not exactly a novel premise for a reggae-dancehall hit, but we’ll take it. B

“Caught Up (3 Way)”
Even the most reasonable gent can find himself in the crux of a love triangle – like the one Wayne Wonder highlights (distinctive voice intact) on his latest effort “Caught Up (3 Way),” off his new album, due July 24. B
