The Jamaican-based World’s Fastest Man has a habit of popping up in some of the most fascinating places – from posters in Asian subway stations to whip-smart ads on British television. Most recently, Dr. Bolt found himself among the visual clues on the finals of the 2012 Jeopardy Teen Tournament, which aired on ABC last Friday. Being as globally well-known as he is, Bolt was instantly recognized by 16-year-old Elyse Mancuso (Omaha, Nebraska), who went on to win the tournament, taking home an impressive $79,600.
On the heels of recent successes like Ghett’a Life and Better Mus’ Come, another local-based film could hit the cineplex in the coming year. Sources inform TALLAWAH that Secret 21, a Kingston-set ensemble dramedy, is currently in post-production with a release date to be finalized. No word yet on the finer details of the plot (or who helmed the project, which was filmed over a year ago), but the starry cast includes such popular faces as Munair Zacca, Nadia Khan, Justin Hadeed Awn, Winston Bell and Chris Byfield (above).
