Abbygaye Dallas (above with culture minister Lisa Hanna) became the third woman ever -- and the first since 1999 -- to emerge winner of the National Festival Song Competition. Inside the National Arena over the weekend, Dallas' "Real Born Jamaican" walked away with the top honours, including a cash prize of $500,000, a motor vehicle, a trophy and a weekend for two. Former Rising Stars contestant Tashina McKenzie claimed second place while O'Neil "Nazzle Man" Scott, an early crowd favourite, was third.
