PEAK PERFORMERS: Mario Evon and Queen Ifrica hit high notes with latest gigs

FUNK-SOUL BROTHER: Reggae-soul recording star Mario Evon was among the performers who graced the stage at the official opening of the Golden Jubilee Village, Independence Park, in Kingston on Wednesday. Last month, Evon (who is feverishly gearing up for the release of his first album) dropped a breath-of-fresh-air new clip for the lead-off single "You Used 2 Love Me".

BACK IN STRIDE: Showing off a plump new figure (having picked up a few pounds after giving birth earlier this year), reggae vet Queen Ifrica and members of her backing band hit the stage on Tuesday night as the headline act of this week's Behind The Screen series at Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records in Kingston, giving renditions of a slew of her best career hits.

PICTURE THIS: Lucky fans, like this fine fellow, later posed for snaps with the artist following the sizzling sold-out performance.
