TALK OF THE TOWN: Victorious Reggae Boyz; Who killed Clover Graham?
Cue the marching band. Jamaica’s beloved Reggae Boyz are scoring goals again, recently blanking El Salvador 2-0 in Washington. Here’s to maintaining that winning streak!
Murder most foul… Family and close friends of attorney-at-law and UTech lecturer Clover Graham have been left reeling in the wake of her gruesome weekend slaying. Graham’s body was discovered early Sunday – with a slashed throat – on the grounds of the Caymanas Polo Club. Since the tragic news broke, the Bar Association of Jamaica has described their fallen colleague as a “dedicated and hardworking member of the legal profession.” Meantime, investigating officers say they are following strong leads to determine the motive and culprit(s) behind the 56-year-old lawyer’s killing.
On a more hopeful note, this Monday at noon, the Prime Minister’s Press Room at Jamaica House will host the Post Olympics briefing on “tourism and investment outcomes from Jamaica’s successful Olympics promotional activities.” According to news out of the OPM, among those who will be attendance are Information minister Sandrea Falconer, who will chair the meeting; Tourism and Entertainment minister Wykeham McNeill; Industry and Commerce’s Anthony Hylton; and Agriculture minister Roger Clarke.
