TRAIL BLAZERS: Jamaica's top sprinters cop their "Independence" Olympic medals

SHOW GIRLS: Check out those stadium-bright smiles! Jamaica's golden girl and double 100M champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is flanked by compatriot and bronze medallist Veronica Campbell-Brown and American silver siren Carmelita Jeter as they proudly display their medals following the presentation ceremony for the Women's 100M at the London Olympics on Sunday.

STADIUM STATUS: As the strains of Jamaica's National Anthem fill the Olympic Stadium for the second time in two days, Jamaica's reigning sprint heroes Usain Bolt (double 100M champion) and Yohan Blake (silver medallist) share a photo-op with American Justin Gatlin and IAAF President Lamine Diack during the Men's 100M medal presentation at the London Olympics on Monday.

  1. What amazing grace God has shown the nation of Jamaica by orchestrating the right people - the athletes and coaches; the right place - London, England; the right event for all the world to witness - the Olympic games; the right events - the 100M both men and women; the right timing - Jamaica's 50th Jubilee - the preparation day and the very day itself; to break the spirit of slavery and colonialism by symoblically returning to us the gold, silver and bronze which had been taken from us by force. Yes, yes, yes, we have symoblically gone and taken back the wealth of our nation by soul force. Gandhi calls it "Satyagraha." Martin Luther King calls it "non-violent resistance". The Bible calls it "Kingdom violence" where the kingdoms of oppression are violently overthrown by soul force. "Strengthen us the weak to cherish": So Jamaica is spirit endowed with soul force. That's what we are seeing in London now.

Where the soul force or "fire in the belly" is absent we end up giving up before the end of the race like Melanie did. We pray that God restores to her a double portion of his soul force.

Jubilee means the "fire in the belly" is returned to our nation for good and not evil. Truly, Eternal Father has blessed our land, let's give thanks.
