MODEL BEHAVIOUR: The singer strikes a pose.
You can say this for reggae-soul singer Alaine Laughton: When it comes to her style-and-beauty game, she consistently hits all the right notes. Ever putting her best foot (and face) forward, she regularly goes the distance to look superfresh and make whatever she’s rocking entirely her own.
Nicely turned out in a bright-yellow Proenza Schouler-esque mini dress, with impossibly perfect skin, a megawatt smile, and a sleek new buzzcut, the leggy glamazon hit the city streets for Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday evening, turning heads and stealing hearts along the way. Alaine was slated to perform for shoppers over at Kingston’s Mall Plaza, where LIME and VMBS and J. Wray & Nephew were treating patrons to a special evening of cocktails, giveaways and appearances from such well-liked celebs as Asafa Powell.
After wrapping the performance, which included a quick turn at the keyboard and serenading a couple of the men in the house, Alaine posed for snaps with several fans and VIPs. By all accounts, a good time was had by all. “She was amazing,” a source tells TALLAWAH. “She made the night extra special.”
