LISTEN UP: Press play on these exciting hits from Bruno Mars + Adele + Chris Martin

“Skyfall”
Adele
Atmospheric, lushly orchestrated, and utterly delightful, “Skyfall,” the latest James Bond theme song (set to accompany the forthcoming film of the same title) is pure instant-classic stuff, wonderfully rendered and co-written by acclaimed vocalist Adele. They couldn’t have tapped a worthier songstress to follow in the footsteps of such previous Bond belters as Tina Tuner (“Goldeneye) and Shirley Bassey (“Diamonds Are Forever”). One for the ages. A

“Prettiest Thing”
Christopher Martin
Among the reggae-soul singer-songwriters of his generation, no one croons a soothing for-the-ladies’ tune quite like Chris Martin, who has scored his latest hit with the irresistibly gorgeous “Prettiest Thing” – a romantic, melodious number sure to bring a smile to the listener’s face as they hum along. B+

“Locked out of Heaven”
Bruno Mars
Grammy winner Bruno Mars has shown a gift for crafting alluring ballads that capture the raw passion and yearning of intimate relationships. His latest gem, “Locked out of Heaven,” the first single from his sophomore record, Unorthodox Jukebox (due in December), stays true that motif, resulting in a pulsating jam spiked with palpable emotion and earnest vocals.
