SHE SHALL SING: Marcia Griffiths heads back to the charts with friends in tow

IN THE KEY OF LIFE: Griffiths' finest duets assembled for new VP release.

For the first time, fans can listen to Marcia Griffiths’ most treasured duets from her illustrious career spanning multiple decades.

In honour of the reggae queen’s legacy, Penthouse Records is putting out a new double-disc anthology, Marcia Griffiths and Friends, due out on October 30 via VP Records. Packing some 38 tracks, the impending release features the great songstress’ most memorable duets recorded for the island’s legendary recording studio and label. “From dancehall collaborations with Assassin and Busy Signal to songs featuring acclaimed singers like Gregory Isaacs to Beres Hammond, Marcia can do it all,” notes uberproducer Donovan Germain. “She has the seamless ability to shine on every record while at the same time complementing the other vocalist.”

Expect appearances from the elites of contemporary and vintage Jamaican music like Hammond, John Holt, Bob Andy, Buju Banton, Busy Signal, Tanya Stephens, Queen Ifrica, Lady G, Mikey Spice and Gentleman.
