TWO OF A KIND: R&B singers Legend and Blige.
Glorious news! Grammy-winning superstars Mary J. Blige, John Legend, and Michael Bolton are among the international acts who will grace the stage at next year’s 17th staging of the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, set for January 24 – 26 at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium.
TALLAWAH has also learnt that the festival will join with the Third World Band in observing their 40th anniversary. Among the other noteworthy acts are reggae warriors Rootz Underground, who will return to the main stage to demonstrate the prowess which makes them one of Jamaica's most popular contemporary bands.
“It's a pleasure to have Mary, who is a powerhouse, along with John and Michael,” says festival producer Walter Elmore. “We know Jamaicans love their music and we are working to create a package they will thoroughly enjoy.”
