NEW MUSIC REVIEW: Press play on these sizzling singles by Chris Martin, Queen Ifrica, Natel and I-Octane

I-Octane feat. Queen Ifrica
“Rasta Love”
Two of reggae’s most noteworthy Rastafarian voices du jour team up for this radio-ready, sex-and-romance cut that’s about celebrating that I-can’t-get-enough appeal of the one in your life, while pledging to love, honour and cherish. A listenable gem. B+

“All Night”
The hardworking Rising Stars alum returns to familiar terrain with this sexy two-minute track off Washroom’s Dog Bite Riddim, which finds him crooning about meeting his woman’s bedroom needs, taking the time to pay attention to detail and her utter satisfaction. Spoken like a true gentleman. Meantime, Natel is reportedly hard at work on his as-yet-untitled forthcoming EP. B

Christopher Martin
“Too Big”
Employing sly wordplay and slick melodies, Martin scores another bedroom anthem (off the Tropical Escape Riddim) with this petition to a former lover, reminding listeners that this is a songwriter with serious talent. To wit, “Mi Friend Dem” is another heatseeker worthy of attention. B+
