OUT & ABOUT: PM Portia Simpson-Miller + Paul Burke + Pauline Archer + Regina Beavers

FITTING GESTURE: Dec. 10, Kingston. In observance of Michael Manley's 88th birthday, PM Portia Simpson-Miller lays a wreath at the grave of the late former prime minister, whose birthday was commemorated this past Monday. Addressing the ceremony at the National Heroes Park, Simpson-Miller highlighted Manley’s passion for equal rights for all, exemplified through several laws he initiated such as the maternity leave for women and the development of the National Housing Trust. Michael Manley was born on December 10, 1924 and was Jamaica's fourth prime minister. (Photo: OPM)

POWER OF TWO: Dec. 10, Kingston. Monday's staging of the 11th Annual Michael Manley Lecture (organized by the Michael Manley Foundation) drew attendees from the socio-political and business spheres, including Paul Burke and Pauline Archer, to the Kingston & St. Andrew Library for a three-hour presentation by Dr. Densil Williams of the Mona School of Business & Management. (Photo: TALLAWAH)

TROPICAL PUNCH: Dec. 7, St. Andrew. Turning heads in her neon brights, Regina Beavers was a bonafide scene-stealer at the 2013 Band Launch Fete put on by Bacchanal Jamaica and Appleton Rum (featuring the 2013 costumes) at Mas Camp, Stadium North, last weekend. The December cover girl, meantime, is gearing up for the commencement of her creative Christmas camp for kids, which will get going next Monday. (Photo: Skkan Media)

BABY LOVE: Dec. 7, St. Andrew. At last Friday's official opening of the spectacular new Constant Spring branch of Courts Jamaica, PM Portia Simpson-Miller had her hands full, literally, playing godmother to a customer's precious infant, as onlookers take in the moment. Both of their expressions are simply priceless. (Photo: Skkan Media)
