AL FRESCO: A cozy new dining spot opens in Kingston.
"We thought it was a very good venture for us at this time," explains project coordinator of the Ashé performing arts ensemble, Jumoke Patrick, about the group's inspired decision to venture into the restaurant business with the recently opened E Café. "Sustainability is important for the performing arts. Ashé is now 20 years old and plans to remain operating and needs to generate income. So E Café was among the ideas we decided to pursue to help us in sustaining our operations." That, coupled with the fact that good food is always in high demand.
Smack in the middle of the capital, E Café is located at 8 Cargill Ave (in the vicinity of Half Way Tree), and offers a coolly refreshing outdoor dining area, while boasting a suitably delectable menue of traditional Jamaican dishes prepared by a hired chef. Added bonus: the restaurant also delivers to clients in and around the corporate area. "Based on how successful the business is, we plan on exploring even more new ideas."
