BITS & PIECES: Bolt confirms appearance at Zurich + Regina Beavers exits Uncensored + Stephen Murphy announces upcoming EP

MOVEMENTS: After several months (and doing a terrific job opposite Michael Cuffe), Regina Beavers has decided to walk away from her on-air gig as co-host of FAME FM's Monday-night gabfest Uncensored. The gamine beauty tells TALLAWAH that though she has no regrets about being part of the FAME family, the time has come for her to move on and step into other realms worth exploring. "Working there was cool; they were really nice to me," she says. "But I'm going into other areas now, and I want to give that as much attention as possible." FAME is yet to announce an official replacement for Beavers, but on Monday night, Fiona Fennell joined Cuffe in the hot seat.

PREVIEW: Dancehall-gospel star Stephen Murphy has announced the impending release of a new EP dubbed Turn Around Time. The six-track project, Murphy says, will include such popular cuts as "God Ah Dweet", "Real Christians" and "End Times", as well as three previously unreleased tracks. "I will keep [the fans] up-to-date with the release date, and sites where this project will be available for download," he explains. Earlier this year, Murphy released "Pray Fi Wi Generation," a pulsating anthem featuring Sean Lypher.

COMPETITION: Jamaican athletics legend Usain Bolt has confirmed his participation at the August Diamond League meeting in Zurich via a statement on the International Association of Athletics Federations’ website posted on Monday. The reigning Olympic sprint champion says he is excited to go back to Zurich, as he loves the stadium's electric atmosphere. The World's Fastest Man says he will decide whether to run the longer or shorter sprint nearer to the time of the meet, which is scheduled for August 29, thereby marking Bolt's first track appearance following the IAAF World Championships, which take place in Moscow from August 10-18.
