THE MUSIC MIX: Konshens drops Live In Uganda DVD + Courtney John debuts a bold new sound

WATCH THIS: Chronicling what has been hailed as one of the best-ever concerts on Ugandan soil, the newly-arrived documentary Konshens: Live In Uganda, Africa fully demonstrates just how much Africans love and appreciate dancehall music, but more particularly ace hitmaker Konshens, who single-handedly drew over 25,000 fans to his high-energy concert, which was vividly captured on film. The performance also featured appearances by members of the increasingly popular SubKonshus band, such as Darrio. DVD available in stores and online May 7. Watch a YouTube preview, plus order your copy HERE.

LISTEN UP: Ahead of the upcoming release of his fourth studio album, crooner Courtney John is in North America promoting his edgy new sound, the Rootstronic beat, which he debuted on his new 10-track album, Future, released digitally a week ago. The Rootstronic is an electro-spiked sound John created in collaboration with producer/musicians Steven 'Lenky' Marsden and Nastasia 'The Wizard' Hammond.
