BROADWAY'S BEST: 'Kinky Boots', 'Matilda' among top winners at 2013 Tonys

The razzle-dazzle musical Kinky Boots waltzed away with a leading six wins at Sunday's Tony Awards, Broadway's biggest night, honouring excellence on the Great White Way and bringing the curtains down on the 2013 season. The Cyndi Lauper-orchestrated show, based on the critically acclaimed 2005 film, picked up trophies for best musical, best original score and best score, among others, from its 13 nominations. 

Among the night's other notable honorees: 

Best Play: Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike 
Best Revival of a Play - Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? 
Best Revival of a Musical - Pippin 
Best Actress in a Play - Cicely Tyson, The Trip to Bountiful 
Best Actor in a Play - Tracy Letts, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? 
Best Actress in a Musical - Patina Miller, Pippin 
Best Featured Actor in a Play - Courtney B. Vance, Lucky Guy 
Best Featured Actress in a Play - Judith Light, The Assembled Parties 
Best Featured Actor in a Musical - Gabriel Ebert, Matlida 
Best Featured Actress in a Musical - Andrea Martin, Pippin
