CASTING ROOM: Pepita Little lands starring role in new Aston Cooke comedy + Dulé Hill heading off to Broadway

PLAYING THE PART: From television (Intense, Tastee Talent Trail) to music to style, Pepita Little is obviously a young woman of many talents. Prepare for her latest move: a lively foray into commercial theatre as one of the stars of Aston Cooke's five-hander romantic comedy, Internet Affair, scheduled to premiere at New Kingston's Pantry Playhouse next month. Rounding out the cast is a mix of excitingly fresh and fairly experienced youngsters, namely Akeem Mignott (last seen in Fifty 2 Rahtid), Petrina Williams, Brian-Ray Moore, Daniel Edwards and Marsha-Marie Campbell. As previously reported, Quilt's Rayon McLean is calling the shots (and making his big-league debut) as director. Performances start August 16.

HAPPY FEET: Jamerican actor Dulé Hill will be channelling his dancing roots when he joins the cast of Broadway's After Midnight, a musical celebrating Duke Ellington's years at the famous Cotton Club in Harlem. A trained tap dancer best known for his work in the USA series Psych and NBC's The West Wing, Hill will play the host of the show, opposite singer Fantasia Barrino and some 17 musicians, 25 vocalists and dancers. Performances start October 18 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, with an official opening set for November 3.
