SOUND & SUBSTANCE: Among this month's new and noteworthy reggae releases is the Soul Free Riddim, a refreshing and utterly groovy 12-track effort by Bombrush Records. Delivering a surprisingly high dosage of summery, feel-good vibes and powerful messages steeped in positivity and uplift, the track features an impressive array of established and emerging talent, notably T.O.K, Gyptian, Jah Melody, Sleepy Hollowtips, Denice Millien, Munga, Gentleman and Wayne Marshall. Highlights include Gyptian's "One Day", Bay-C and Wayne Marshall's "Long Live Jamaica" and the T.O.K/Gentleman collabo "True 2 Yourself." >> Take a listen HERE

RECORD TIME: Over the weekend, Shaggy unveiled the eye-catching cover art for his Sly & Robbie-produced new album, Out of Many, One Music, which becomes available in September. A video for the record's lead-off single, "Fight This Feeling," a collabo with Beres Hammond, had its world premiere on CVM's On Stage Saturday night. Showcasing concert footage (the icons in performance in Europe) and mellow in-studio vibes, the clip is an alternately high-energy and chilled-out visual that certainly brings the tune to vivid and colourful life. >> Watch it HERE.
