HOT SUMMER SINGLES: We take a listen to the latest crop of warm-weather tunes

"In My Arms"
Beres Hammond
The lover's rock king fashions a fetching tune of endearment from a cantering of one-drop reggae and the melodious strains of its heartfelt hook, recalling such earlier hits as "Rock Away". B+

"Easy To Love"
Maxi Priest
The veteran crooner's first single off his upcoming fall album traffics in mood-altering reggae-soul with unmistakable traces of contemporary soul and R&B. It's pure, delicious satisfaction. A-

Sean Paul feat. 2 Chainz and Juicy J
The Jamaican Grammy winner has long been a fan of turbo-charged hip-hop, and on his newest joint he effectively forges a fusion with dancehall (with the help of two of rap's most eligible newcomers) to create a pulsating, club-ready jam that certainly, well, entertains. B

"Part II (On The Run)"
Jay-Z & Beyoncé
Music's perennial It couple explore matters of the heart (among other things) on this atmospheric collabo, which delivers a kind of loping, hypnotic vibe (in both theme and melody) and summer-anthem potential. B+
