NEWS & NOTES: "Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise" set to hit the high seas + Denzel Washington is Broadway bound

POWER PLAYERS: Denzel Washington is heading back to Broadway. The Oscar and Tony winner (Best Actor for August Wilson’s Fences) is set to appear in a remounting of Lorraine Hansberry’s groundbreaking examination of family and race, A Raisin in the Sun. The play starts previews next March. Above, Washington shares a light moment with Fences leading lady Viola Davis, who also snagged a Tony for her role in the 2011 revival.
