MOMENT IN THE SUN: The sprinter with girls from the VCB Foundation earlier this year.
Track superstar Veronica Campbell-Brown, whose emotional trial into her May 2013 "doping violation" ended last week with her receiving a public warning, is looking forward to resuming her life and athletic career after the stressful ordeal, which unfortunately cast an ominous cloud over her professional integrity.
A statement from the 31-year-old's camp reads, "Mrs. Campbell-Brown wishes to extend her thanks to her many supporters during this difficult and upsetting time. She looks forward to restoring the confidence of those who have maintained their trust in her integrity." Easily one of the most decorated Jamaican sportswomen in athletic history, Campbell-Brown has amassed 16 medals from the World Championship and Summer Olympics.
