STAGE NOTES: Tallawah 2013 dates confirmed + If Walls Could Talk heads back to the boards

PERFORMING ARTS: The annual Tallawah drama festival/competition returns to Mona's Philip Sherlock Centre for its 2013 staging from November 5-8. In keeping with tradition, entrants (open to halls of residence, other tertiary schools) will compete for trophies and other prestigious prizes in such categories as plays, poetry, storytelling, dramatic monologues and dialogues. A consummate delight, Best of Tallawah, awards presentation and creme-de-la-creme showcase is set fr Sunday, Nov. 10.

SECOND ROUND: Another month, another buzzworthy stage revival. Writer-director David Tulloch's If Walls Could Talk (which got a laudable debut in 2012) is finding new life and is scheduled for a limited mid-November run (dates to be finalized) at Kingston's Green Gables Theatre, before heading overseas for a limited engagement. The revival casts original troupe member Rosie Murray (who scored both Thespy and Actor Boy nods for her role), alongside such stage vets as Volier Johnson, Deon Silvera and Keith 'Shebada' Ramsey.
