WATCH THIS, HEAR THAT: A star-packed sequel lives up to the hype + Carols refreshingly interpreted by a charming songbird

TOGETHER AGAIN: The Best Man Holiday
Director: Malcolm D. Lee
Writer-director Lee delivers a fine-tuned script that makes viewers feel that it was well worth the nearly decade-long wait to reunite with the fabulous cast of the groundbreaking original that unequivocally helped to firmly establish stars like Taye Diggs, Sanaa Lathan, Morris Chestnut and Nia Long as bonafide players in Black Hollywood. Full of laugh-out-loud funny dialogue and moments of genuine dramatic intensity, The Best Man Holiday is a beautifully and sensitively spun and strongly acted follow-up that champions love and teaches forgiveness. Tyrone's Verdict: B+

IN TUNE: The Christmas Collection
Artist: Stephanie
"It's a work of heart and a work of art," is how multitalented songbird Stephanie describes her latest effort, an ethereal compilation of standard Yuletide tunes given refreshing new arrangements and sprightly vocals that remind one of the singer's admirable gift as a song stylist. Produced and released by the singer's and hubby Stephen's indie label Havatio Music, the 12-track disc boasts such highlights as "Little Drummer Boy" and "Mary Did You Know," among others, sure to put you in the festive mood and reaffirm the significance of the season.
