Director: Malcolm D. Lee
Writer-director Lee delivers a fine-tuned script that makes viewers feel that it was well worth the nearly decade-long wait to reunite with the fabulous cast of the groundbreaking original that unequivocally helped to firmly establish stars like Taye Diggs, Sanaa Lathan, Morris Chestnut and Nia Long as bonafide players in Black Hollywood. Full of laugh-out-loud funny dialogue and moments of genuine dramatic intensity, The Best Man Holiday is a beautifully and sensitively spun and strongly acted follow-up that champions love and teaches forgiveness. Tyrone's Verdict: B+
