HIGH PITCH: The eliminations round of the JCDC's National Gospel Song Competition, one of the most fiercely contested on the annual festival calendar, is about to slip into high gear, following last Wednesday's successful kick-off at the St. Mark's Anglican Church Hall in Mandeville, where the enthusiastic hopefuls from Central Jamaica got to impress the panel of judges. Next up are the Northern Region, at the Port Maria Anglican Church Hall on Thursday, Feb. 13, followed by the Western zone on Feb. 20 at Montego Bay's St. John's Action Centre, ahead of the final stop set for Feb. 27 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre that should attract the best and brightest that Kingston & St. Andrew and St. Catherine have to offer.
