PHOTO OF THE WEEK: Usain Bolt works the angles — and crisp new gear — for PUMA's latest campaign
MR. DASH:Usain Bolt's head-turning physique is the star attraction of PUMA's spanking new Forever Faster ad campaign, which the athletics apparel giants launched recently, coinciding, it would appear, with the grand climax of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in Scotland, where the World's Fastest Man (who kicked it with Prince William, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton) was the primary centre of attention — on and off the track. The campaign's lead image is a striking and strong visual representation of a powerhouse top athlete in peak physical form seemingly poised to do major damage on the field of play. And that's exactly what folks are anticipating as Bolt season 2014 gets turned up this month. On the heels of his gold-medal-winning exploits in Glasgow, Bolt has no fewer than three big meets left before his summer swan song. On August 17, he'll reconnect with his Brazilian peeps at the Mano a Mano showdown in Copacabana Beach. August 23 brings the LOTTO Skolimowska's Memorial in Warsaw, Poland, and the jet-setter will then fly to Zurich, Switzerland, on August 28 to headline the 100M at the Weltklasse meet. Will the elusive world record get smashed to smithereens? Only time will tell.
