TALK THAT TALK: These sisters and great friends have much to dish on their upcoming show.
While Una’s grace is what countless fans have always aspired to, it comes as a pleasant surprise that the Morgan Heritage leading lady has three gorgeous and very accomplished sisters, with whom she’s teaming up to bring to life a sparkling and entertaining web-based talk show, At Home With the Morgans, premiering on their website this summer.
The whole world knows the musical brothers of this famous Morgan family, who picked up their first Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album (Strictly Roots) earlier this year. Now it’s the ladies’ turn to take a spin in the spotlight. Alongside Una, the talk show will feature Sandra Downie, a blogger and entrepreneur; Taliba Morgan, the CEO of Nagrom Films; and Takilat ‘Taki’ Morgan, a child protective services officer. All daughters of the late great reggae hitmaker Denroy Morgan.
“What sets us apart as a family: it’s four sisters and four amazing personalities with different walks of life,” says Taliba. “Even when we have our disagreements the love we have for each other always works it out.”
Over the course of 12 episodes, At Home With the Morgans will cover current affairs and entertainment hot topics, cooking, as well as beauty and lifestyle. A segment called ‘Pajama Talk’ will add some spice to the broth. As such, the show is aimed primarily at adult and mature audiences.
“We are international women ambassadors, and we will not keep any topics off limits, especially if it has anything to do with women empowerment,” says Una, whose battle with health-related issues in recent times will figure into the wide-ranging discussions. “We want when people watch the show they walk away learning something about life they never knew.”
