FRESH TRACKS: Update your playlist with these new tunes from Jai Kingston, Dexta Daps & Alaine, Tarrus & Estelle, and more

“Love Like Ours”
Estelle & Tarrus Riley
The British soulster and the reggae stalwart make a convincing pair of lovebirds whispering sweet somethings in each other’s ears on this slow-tempo jam about the they-just-want-what-we’ve-got kind of lovin’. No stranger to the Jamaican scene, Estelle finds an ideal leading man in Singy Singy. B+

“Send Judah First”
Jai Kingston
We may not have heard from this former Katalys Crew vocalist in a while, but he makes it abundantly clear that he never lost his praise. With insistent vocal fervor and tuneful production support, he makes a welcome return to the gospel platform with this spare, melodic track from Image Records, about gratitude in the face of hardships. B+

“Jesus Bigger”
Prodigal Son feat. Jason Mighty
With this praise anthem off his Pure Gold album, Prodi and younger brother Jason spar over a hypnotic beat that puts worshippers in the mood to not only life their hands but to move those feet and dance. It easily recalls Prodi’s other recent high-energy collabo, “Can’t Cool,” with Kevin Downswell. A-

Romain Virgo
Never one to shy away from baring his soul in song and telling the ladies exactly what’s on his mind, Virgo doesn’t stray too far from his winning formula on this sizzler buoyed by sharp vocals and the earnestness that usually heightens his most popular hits. A-

“Be Good”
Dexta Daps & Alaine
No offence to Shaggy, but is Dexta Daps the new Mr. Boombastic? His thousands of female fans are likely to scream a resounding yes. This sexy Daseca-produced track supplies the medium for him to ride Alaine’s rhythm as they talk that talk, with us eavesdropping on their grown-folks business. These are two talented artistes at the top of their game. B+
