>> Starbucks’ largest Jamaican store is coming to New Kingston! Set to open in November or early December, the shop will occupy enviable real-estate space on Knutsford Boulevard, taking over the spot formerly occupied by Digicel, across the street from the Porsche showroom, smack in the heart of the central business district. The building is said to be owned by the Anbell Group. It is the sixth store in the fourth location to be opened locally. Already, coffee lovers are getting their daily java fix at the shops in Liguanea, on Gloucester Avenue in Montego Bay, and at the Sangster International Airport. The Starbucks Jamaica franchise is expected to grow to 15 stores over time.
>> “Agriculture has, for quite some time, been one of our many strengths, and we must therefore embrace it, protect it and invest in it, as we seek to achieve even greater gains in the sector. The time is right for all Jamaicans to give greater support to the sector to stimulate and sustain growth.” – Governor General Sir Patrick Allen
